Clement SAUNIER, trompette - Orchestre d'Harmonie des Gardiens de la Paix, direction Philippe FERRO Concerto pour Trompette (No 2) - Soir et Défilé - Fanfares pour Britannicus - Suite Transocéane
Even though the winds have always fascinated Andre Jolivet for their ability to expressa kind of "breath of life" to reconnect with what he imagined to be the origin of music, his works for wind band have remained rare in his corpus, or even marginal. Hence the interest of this record which is to bring original music written for this training(Fanfares for Britannicus, Evening and Fashion Show) from those who approach it as,that is to say, the Concerto No. 2 for trumpet (because sounds a clear reference to jazzbig band) and the Suite Transocéane Dondeyne that Desire has orchestrated for bandhighlighting the winks that this music was Stravinsky in America.
André Jolivet in writing many works for wind band, including the famous Trumpet Concerto (No. 2). Also be found in this volume transcript of the Suite TransocéaneDondeyne by Desire. After the concert setting, the composer praised Desire Dondeynein these terms: "My dear, opus have done a masterpiece."
