Far from prejudice, Robert Desnos never locked into a corset, experimenting in areas as diverse as painting, cinema, radio, cinema, journalism, or poetry or the novel, acting not according to imperatives of parties or groups, but according to his firm belief in theurgency of the moment. This requirement of authenticity to always guided the actionsof the poet, even in his fight against Nazism and its extreme consequence: thedeportation and death.
