There are many ways to approach the Baroque period:
here are three.

• First through a brilliant transcription of Handel's Concerti Grossi opus 6 for 2 harpsichords by DUO Podeur~Bass; transcription of concertos was common in the 18th century. The two harpsichords allow multiple combinations, concertino in one, ripieno in the second: we then have a kind of very “large harpsichord with several registrations”.

• Then the vision of Frédéric Chatoux and Bertrand Giraud, one playing on an old Pleyel piano and the other a modern flute, interpreting Jadin's flute sonatas.

• Finally, the art of one of our greatest flautists today: Philippe Pierlot (soloist of the Orchestre National de France) playing the sonatas by Michel Blavet on a wooden flute, with the harpsichord of Richard Siegel.
